Clarence Snyder was an AA pioneer, arguably the very first “sponsee”, and remarkable promoter of what some call the Ohio Approach: “Trust God, Clean House, and Help Others.” Clarence felt that the approach in New York and (to a lesser extent, Akron) was “Don’t Drink and Go To Meetings”.
